The Team
Sean Goldner, BSc, MSc. Managing Director
Sean's background is in medical physics. Following the completion of a Masters degree in Radiation Protection he worked in vascular tissue engineering, which stimulated an interest in cells and surface tomography. Sean began working with Materialise in 2001 and formed the initial part of the CGI Group in 2003, handling SimPlant Software sales. Prior to 2001, while the technology existed for computerized implant planning, it was rarely used in the UK. Since then, computerized pre-surgical planning and the SimPlant platform have become vital to successful practices across the country. Working with CT centres and specialists across the UK, Sean realized SimPlant users needed greater choice and flexibility, and so the second part of the CGI Group was formed in 2005 to deliver the 4D Service.
